The photographic images of history, saved in the photo album of a young soldier. This was a time of

struggle, of honor and the loss of an entire generation of young men; the end of a nation and the destruction of an entire continent.

Naturally, this time was not all struggle, fighting and combat. As with all young men in the service of their country, especially in times of struggle and death, they relaxed in many ways and many took photos.

These photos were not only of their brothers-in-arms and images of their life and death struggle on the front lines but also the photos they carried of loved ones back home.
